Career

Peter O’Brien is a former Major League Baseball player with over 14 years of professional experience at the highest levels of the game. A second-round draft pick out of the University of Miami, Peter played for eight MLB organizations — including the Yankees, Diamondbacks, Marlins, Dodgers, Royals, Reds, Braves, and Rangers — and stood out internationally on professional teams in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.

Known for his elite power, Peter blasted over 350 professional home runs throughout his career. He was selected to the 2014 MLB Futures Game, named 2019 LIDOM MVP, and earned 2020 Caribbean Series MVP honors.

But beyond the numbers and accolades, Peter’s career is defined by perseverance and adaptability — the willingness to face failure head-on, make adjustments, and keep showing up. His journey reflects the grind, passion, and lessons of professional baseball at its highest level.

Philosophy

Baseball is more than a game. It’s a teacher — revealing who you are when the pressure rises and who you can become when you push through challenges.

Peter’s philosophy is rooted in transparency, resilience, and growth. His mission through PRO Baseball Path is to guide players with honest, experience-driven instruction — not just to improve their performance on the field, but to help them understand themselves as athletes and as people.

As a coach, Peter believes in shaping the whole player:

  • Physically, with proper mechanics and power development.

  • Mentally, with mindset strategies to handle failure and success.

  • Spiritually, by connecting the game to deeper purpose and character.

His ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between where a player is now and where they aspire to be — in baseball and in life. The game has the power to shape you, but only if you’re willing to learn from it.
